About

Why SEN Anchor?

Getting the right support for a child with special educational needs often means navigating a system that is slow, complicated and stressful. Families shouldn't have to work it out alone.

SEN Anchor offers independent advocacy for parents and carers in England. We help you understand your rights under the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice, prepare for every stage of the EHCP process, and make your case clearly, whether that's in a review meeting, a letter to the council or at the SEND Tribunal.

We also share what we know with the people who work alongside families: teachers, SENCOs and other professionals, through practical learning materials and training.

Steady

Calm, clear guidance when everything feels urgent. We help you take one step at a time.

On your side

We're independent of councils and schools. Our job is to help you speak up for your child.

Plain English

No jargon. We explain what the law and the Code of Practice mean for you, in words that make sense.
